PRYNN: The One-of-a-Kind Vintage Suit Brand that started with debt and thrived with passion

In a world where many entrepreneurs launch their ventures driven by dreams or personal interests, Parin Pasee, a young woman from Udon Thani, Thailand, took a very different path. She started her business not for fun, but out of necessity—to pay off nearly a million baht in debt in her twenties. She endured financial hardships, skipped meals, and struggled to pay a year’s rent just to keep her head afloat.

Dreams from a Small Town

Parin grew up in a small village near Udon Thani city, Northern Thailand. Like many young girls, she loved fashion magazines and aspired to dress like celebrities, despite her larger-than-average body frame. However her family wanted her to pursue a stable career in government, so she studied political science at university.

After graduation, she worked at the Italian Embassy, meeting her family’s expectations—but she was unhappy. Life in Bangkok felt foreign, and she often asked herself: “Is this really what I want to do?” Eventually, she resigned to search for her true purpose in life.

A Risky Leap and the First Debt

Parin tried multiple ventures before selling clothes online. She worked in real estate, and partnered with close friends in a larger business investment. Unfortunately, the venture failed. She took responsibility for the loss, accumulating her first debt of 700,000 baht (~US$20,000), and faced the humiliation of struggling all alone.

She recalls, “I stayed in my room … rent was overdue … I barely had money to buy food”.

Turning Struggle into Creativity

Despite her challenges, Parin persisted and launched her PRYNN Fashion brand, focusing on unique, hand-painted vintage suits.

Her story is not just about fashion—it’s about resilience, courage, and transforming necessity into a platform for artistic expression. PRYNN’s identity is built on her personal struggles, turning her early hardships into a compelling narrative for the brand.

Present day. Her brand differentiates itself through original designs and bold patterns, becoming a “one-of-a-kind in the world” fashion label.

The one and only "Ready to ArtWear" brand in Thailand and SE Asia where each of her newly created garments retains its past and all the while displays a new attitude for its future owner.
